Mystery Doubles Tournament
On March 1st and 3rd MATA hosted the first annual MATA Mystery Doubles Tournament. Fifty players braved the cold
temperatures to enjoy two nights of fun. Winners of the tournament are shown in the box at the right.
Tennis Carnival
On March 1 MATA hosted its first Tennis Carnival to introduce new players to the game of tennis. Instructors
from the Jackson Mississippi USTA conducted drills and played games with over forty enthusiastic kids from
the Meridian area.

TENNIS CARNIVAL
Mississippi Kids for Kids/Unicef 2005
A Tsunami Relief Team Tennis Tournament will be held May 28, 2005 at Ridgeland Tennis Center. A
team is made up of six juniors of any combination boys and girls as long as their ages are the same. Cost is $90.00 per team/$15.00
per player. There will be a novice level and a tournament level. Ages are; 10 and under, 12 and under, 14
and under and high school. Deadline for entry is Friday May 20, 2005.
